I always seem to forget to post pictures I take to make the blog better. I took a few photos on the trip this past weekend. Here they are.

Stephen getting ready to do his power test that we took part at camp. Let me tell you those are almost not enjoyable.

A mountain pass on the way out and back. That's right I'm pround of my heritage.

Coming back through West Virginia where me and Swain snuck out a ride while driving back. There was some pretty sweet terrain and roads around. Wouldn't mind going back when it was just a touch nicer out.

Swain post ride.

Not to happy about sticky my dirty butt bike in the astro.

Back from camp. Ok I've been back for a few days, but the Internet that the neighbors are so kindly providing had been out for a while. So how was camp? Well I had a ton of fun at camp, and think its going to a be not only a great year of racing, but also a fun year. Everyone seems very enthusiastic, energized and ready to go. Instead of righting everything out day by day just check out what one of my teammates posted on his sight. There should be enough information to fill you in. Check out Ian Ayers.

Next weekend I'll be racing in the Bahamas. Hopefully it isn't to painful. I think I should be able to get by. So as I was watching the Colts win last weekend I remembered that I will have to watch the Superbowl from there. Of all the weeks in winter to be in the Bahamas it has to be during the Superbowl, and in the game is the Colts. Oh well, I think I'll be ok.

Winter is coming. Not to excited about that. Tomorrow is suppose to hit 20, maybe. Yikes! Ok as I see it I only need to get through February and March shouldn't be to bad. I'm really looking forward to getting to a full racing schedule starting in April, especially with the Tour of Virginia. I've saw the write up on the 2007 version and it sounds killer. Lots of climbing, which should be good for me and a few of my teammates. Hopefully we will tear it up. Still tossing up the idea of Schabobele. Hmmm, already have a toaster, but couldn't hurt to have another, thats if I win. It is a sweet course, great for training, but painful. That makes it sound Good. Maybe I will go, maybe I won't. Who knows.

One last thing. Like I promised here is a picture of my new sweat team bike. I will also be getting brand new dura ace parts before the season, so that will be like getting another new bike.

Not much to talk about regarding cycling for myself when its January. That is apparent in my blog updating. Really not much of anything to talk about all, or anything that would be to interesting, but let me try to give a quick run down.

Tomorrow Im loading up the astro van and heading to the east coast for the first get together of the Rite Aid Pro Cycling Team. This will be the first time for me meeting everyone. I'm looking forward to getting together with my new compadres doing some riding, and meeting a few sponsors. There even is a party of some sort Saturday night. I will let you know how the weekend goes and I'll be sure to get photos. So check back soon.

As for training of the upcoming season, I guess I cant really complain yet. I've been getting some nice training in, maybe a bit less consistent then I would hope for, but I'm very happy with I am feeling. My first race is only 2 weekends away in the Bahamas. I should be ok for that, but my next race really isn't till the US Open in April. I'll have plenty of training rides between now and then. Also one good thing about this season is that it hasn't snowed yet! I hope I didnt jinx it. It has been a bit bitter lately, but ridable without the snow on the ground. I dont enjoy dashing through the snow, sliding all the way.

Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots to earn the right to play in the Superbowl this weekend. What a show down this will be. I'm really excited and hope, my new home team can take a trip to the Superbowl. Also I what Manning to finally make it to the big game so everyone can get off his back. But just to clarify my favorite team is and always will be the Detroit Lions.

Last thing for the night. The team is selling some things off early this year. I dont know why or what for, but here are a few options and if interested let me know and we will hook you up. First of all are some sweet wheels. They are Real Design SuperSphere wheels. The team is selling them for $300 a pair. Next is the same frame/fork that our team will be riding of the upcoming season. It is the Merlin Works CR. They are brand new and have the 2006 decals on them. They are selling them for $1750. Right now I believe they have all sizes available. If anyone is interested let me know and tell you who to get a hold of.

Ok I guess thats it for now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I hope everyone has a great new year! The year for me brings change. No school, part time job, new race team and Im getting married. Its going to be an exciting year and I am really excited about everyone of them .

So last week wasn't quite the dream vacation week I was hoping for. Going out, getting some nice riding in and such. But the day after christmas I got really sick with the flu and just felt awful. I can't remember being sick like that in a long time. Grossly enough it was coming out of both ends. Then it wasn't just me, the day after Katie was just as sick, and come Saturday my dad was knocked down with the same illness. So it was just a blah week.

On a good note though I received my new team bike last week. A sweet Merlin CR 3/2.5 Ti Works. Its a sweet looking bike and the ride is really awesome. In all honesty I really do love the bike so far and think it is really going to be a great race bike and bike that will be fun to ride. I will post pictures someday soon.

Thats it for now.
